The Global Childhoods Project
This REEaCh Hub seminar will be delivered by Professor Nicola Yelland, Professor of Early Childhood Studies in the Melbourne Graduate School of Education.
Professor Yelland will be drawing on her Global Childhoods Australian Research Council (ARC) project, which explores how policy contexts, school experiences, and the everyday life-worlds of year four students (aged 9 & 10 years old) in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore shape children’s orientations to educational success.
In this seminar Professor Yelland will share some of the findings from a survey of the (627) children in the three global cities and from data generated by the children themselves in the forms of learning dialogs about how they feel about school and what they learn.
