Property development group BriStar ventures into ECEC market for first time in QLD

Property development company The BriStar Group has lodged a development with Brisbane City Council for a co-located residential aged care home and early childhood education and care (ECEC) service in Stafford, 6km northwest of the Brisbane CBD.

The plans show a three storey 100 bed aged care home, and a two storey ECEC service with the capacity to cater for 100 children per day on two allotments on the corner of Stafford Road and Trouts Road.

Architects ThomsonAdsett have been commissioned to design the aged care facility, with ANA Architects engaged to design the ECEC service. 

The plans outline a proposal to rearrange the boundaries of the lots so that both developments can be located on separate allotments, with the ECEC service to be constructed with a view to minimising potential noise and traffic impacts to the surrounding area. 

BriStar’s existing portfolio has focused on the delivery of luxury homes and townhouses, with the project being the first of its kind for the developer.
