Registrations now open for Clean Up Australia Day are now open

Registrations for Clean Up Australia Day are now open, and early childhood education and care (ECEC) services are being encouraged to work together with colleagues, friends and families to ensure they play their part to ‘Keep Australia Beautiful’.
Clean Up Australia Day events will take place on the following days:
- Business Clean Up Day – Tuesday, 2 March
- Schools Clean Up Day – Friday, 5 March
- Community Clean Up Day – Sunday, 7 March
Many ECEC services and schools are hosting their own School Clean Up Days on and before Friday, 5 March, doing their part not only to clean up but to reduce the eight million tonnes of plastic entering our oceans worldwide each year, much of which comes via our local rivers and waterways.
Individuals or groups can register at www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au or simply come to one of the registered events. Volunteers are asked to bring water, gloves, a hat and sturdy shoes.
A range of resources have been prepared to support services who choose to participate, which can be accessed here.
