New early childhood facilities on the way for Spring Hill Primary School

Carabiner Architects have been selected to design new early childhood facilities at Spring Hill Primary School in Wanneroo, West Australian Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery announced late last week.

The new facilities will replace three existing demountable kindergarten classrooms with a new permanent building for the school’s youngest students, at a cost of $2 million. Three classrooms, two kitchens, student and staff toilets and store rooms are all included in the scope of works.

With the project now in the design phase, construction is expected to start in February 2021 and completion is anticipated in January 2022, and is being completed as part of the West Australian Government’s Recovery Plan.

“The new early childhood facilities will give teachers additional space to create exciting learning opportunities so students get the best start to their education,” Ms Ellery said.
