SA preschools will share in $37 million to support high priority maintenance

Schools and preschools in South Australia will share in $37 million to support high priority maintenance projects as part of the State budget 2020-21.
Every preschool will receive a grant of $30,000 and all schools will receive grants of between $20,000 and $100,000 to engage local tradespeople to deliver priority maintenance works at their sites, according to information shared recently by the Department of Education.
The grants allow schools and preschools to choose local tradespeople and determine their own maintenance priorities to improve their sites, covering aspects such as painting, replacing flooring or creating new nature play areas.
Funding will be distributed to schools and preschools in 2021. All projects must be completed by September 2021. To access the information as distributed by the Department please see here.
