The Programming in Practice Online Self-paced Course introduces different theoretical perspectives that may influence curriculum design.
The emphasis of the course is to assist participants to reflect on the creation of their curriculum by considering each section of the early years planning cycle. The curriculum planning process attempts to follow a circular progression which may be modified due to the emerging needs of children and families. Every aspect of curriculum planning is fluid due to the fact that teachers and educators need to be constantly engaging in critical reflection on children’s learning and development.
