The preschool sees children as active participants in their own learning and recognises this happens best in an environment that provides enjoyable and engaging experiences.

 

Service programs are enriched by a number of incursions and excursions, music, drama, library book borrowing, and a challenging and interesting outdoor program.

 

Deepdene Preschool’s learning philosophy is both child-centred and play-based, with educators believing that play is crucial to the development of children.

The operations of Deepdene Preschool are managed by a voluntary Committee of Management made up of parents whose children are enrolled at the centre. 

 

The Committee is responsible for all aspects of the preschool including organisational and administrative functions, financial management, maintenance of the building, equipment and grounds, employment of staff, compliance with legislation and regulations, enrolments, the development of policies and other administrative duties.
