Opportunity for ECEC to expand into popular OneOneFive Hamilton Hill development

The West Australian Government released an opportunity of interest for early childhood education and care (ECEC) developers earlier this week in the popular OneOneFive community in Hamilton Hill.

The OneOneFive development will deliver over 230 residential lots, seven public open space areas, and two mixed-use opportunities, including the newly released 2,602m² site which has been made available for the construction of an ECEC service.

“The OneOneFive Hamilton Hill (development) is an important development to boost housing supply and diversity to our southern suburbs – including for the most vulnerable members of our community,” WA Lands Minister John Carey said.

“Earlier this year we announced seven three-bedroom, two-bathroom properties had been completed for families on the public housing waiting list, and to ensure the OneOneFive Hamilton Hill community has the amenities for local families we’re releasing land for the development of a new childcare (sic.) centre.”

“The new childcare centre will meet the needs of the growing local community by providing childcare services in a well-located suburb, close to local shops, transport links, and recreational facilities and amenities,” he added.

To be constructed on lot 571 at OneOneFive Hamilton Hill, the centre will be on the corner of Ralston Street and Stock Road, accommodating approximately 80 places and an onsite car park with 23 bays.

Through DevelopmentWA the WA Government has created an indicative single-level concept for the 2602m² site.

Stage 1 subdivision works, which include 66 residential lots, one small mixed-use site and a group housing site, are now complete.

Upon completion, the 11.9-hectare OneOneFive Hamilton Hill will deliver approximately 232 lots and more than 330 new homes for up to 800 residents.

“As our State’s population continues to grow, it’s important that we support and provide opportunities for development of key community infrastructure including new early learning centres,” WA Early Childhood Education Minister Sabine Winton said in closing.
