Rolanda Mitchell to head up Affinity’s People and Culture team

Rolanda Mitchell will head up Affinity Education Group’s People and Culture team from July 2024, taking over from outgoing position holder Linda Carroll, who has been with the Group for ten years.
Ms Mitchell, who will commence her position in July, was described by Affinity CEO Tim Hickey as being “a very impressive individual with a compelling leadership style.”
A well respected and collaborative leader, Ms Mitchell comes to the role with extensive experience in change management and business transformation, having worked in senior and executive positions alongside CEO’s and Boards across a number of industries, including a four-year period at C&K – The Creche & Kindergarten Association.
Her most recent role is as Head of People & Culture at AVEO, supporting HR/IR, Organisational Development, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and People systems and Remuneration for 2,000 employees across 87 locations, will support her to succeed at Affinity. Her focus areas are long-term strategy development, engagement, attraction and retention.

In announcing Ms Mitchell’s appointment Mr Hickey thanked Ms Carroll, for her decade of contribution saying;

Her passion and expertise helped us to embed the Affinity Way culture and sector leading people processes, and her leadership in the formation of our Affinity Learning Academy has benefitted the careers of hundreds of early childhood educators across Australia.”
