Nominations sought for ACT Public Education Awards
Nominations for the ACT Public Education Awards are being sought, with a program of awards designed to showcase teachers, educational staff members and groups who deserve recognition.
While the bulk of the 14 awards focus on those in the schools sector, there is a category for early childhood teacher of the year.
Each of the 14 awards honour the difference these people make to students’ lives, schools or the broader community. Nominations can be made across the following categories:
- Early Childhood Teacher of the Year
- Primary Teacher of the Year
- Secondary/College Teacher of the Year
- School Leader of the Year
- New Educator of the Year
- Learning Support Assistant of the Year
- School Support Person of the Year
- Allied Health Professional of the Year
- Education Support Office Employee of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Excellence in Cultural Integrity Practice
- Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion
- Excellence in Innovation
- Outstanding Partnership of the Year.
Outstanding individuals or groups can be nominated for any of these awards until Monday 28 August 2023. More information about making a nomination can be found on the ACT Public Education Awards website.
