Scholarships available for architects who have a special interest in ECEC
German architecture firm Baukind is seeking Australian early and mid-career landscape architects who have a special interest in progressive early-learning environments for young children.
Through the scholarship, architects will have the opportunity for a placement at the Berlin-based firm lasting four to six weeks, where they will work and research to develop their skill set, focusing on learning environments specifially to children under the age of six years.
The aim of the scholarship is to inspire professional exchange in this specialist area of architecture and design, and to promote the evolution and reimagination of how play spaces and environments for early education in Australia are designed, with an approach that encourages and stimulates inquiry-based learning, appropriate risk-taking, creative thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and children’s rights to participation and self-determination.
Applications for the scholarship close on 25 April, 2023. For more information and to apply, please see here.
