Katharine O’Donnell appointed as Tasmania’s Director Education Regulation
Tasmania’s Education, Children and Youth Minister Roger Jaensch has announced the appointment of Ms Katharine O’Donnell to the position of Director Education Regulation.
Mr Jaensch congratulated Ms O’Donnell who brings extensive knowledge and experience to the role having held a number of senior management roles within the Tasmanian public sector, including as the Registrar, Education since 2018.
“In this new role, Ms O’Donnell will lead the implementation of the Review of Education Regulation and provide ongoing strategic leadership across the education regulators including the Office of the Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification, the Office of the Education Registrar and the Teachers Registration Board,” he added.
Ms O’Donnell has been appointed to the position for a period of five years, and a recruitment process will soon commence to appoint a new Registrar, Education.
“I look forward to continuing to work with Ms O’Donnell in her new role.” Mr Jaensch concluded.
