Early childhood education and care (ECEC) not-for-profit provider Sparkways (formerly known as TRY Australia) has appointed a new Board Chair, Estelle O’Callaghan.
Ms O’Callaghan will be leading the Melbourne-based Sparkways Board based on her extensive experience in strategy and creating positive change.

She has a focus on problem-solving and experience with not-for-profit clients, and will take on the Board Chair position from James Meares who has been the Chair of the Sparkways Board for over six years and has seen the organisation through notable change.
As a result of Ms O’Callaghan’s appointment,Mr Meares will be free to focus on other projects.
Sparkways CEO Daniel Findley thanked Mr Meares for the time he has spent in his role as Chair, and for remaining in his role throughout COVID-19 lockdowns when the organisation was required to pivot to remain in operation.
“His passion and enthusiasm have focussed the organisation on delivering optimal impact, for the length of his tenure,” Mr Findley said.
