Susan Callaghan says farewell to Cowra Early Childhood Services after 22 years
Early childhood education and care (ECEC) professional Susan Callaghan was given a five star celebration to say farewell after working with Cowra Early Childhood Services for 22 years during which she educated and cared for close to 1,000 children.
Ms Callaghan, who most recently held the position of Director was honoured for her tireless advocacy in seeking the best outcomes for children and families and helping Cowra Early Childhood Services to become a sought-after and well-respected early childhood education service in the region.
Her farewell celebration consisted of a progressive high tea which began in the nursery room before moving to the three year old space and then on to preschool. Each room prepared a high tea party with food and drinks, and provided entertainment and fun for Ms Callaghan to enjoy.
Celebration activities included a scavenger hunt, dancing, body percussion and singing. The day ended with a cake in the park which was prepared by Educator Maddi.
Ms Callaghan was then presented with gifts to thank her for all she had done over her time with the service.
“We will miss you Susan, and promise to uphold the amazing legacy of work you have left for us,” a representative from the service said.
