Victoria’s Education Week celebrations pay tribute to the strengths and achievements of Victoria’s government education sector, including its preschools, and gives all primary and secondary schools, higher education providers, and early childhood education and care services an opportunity to commemorate the past, celebrate the present and imagine the future of education in Victoria.
The 2022 theme for Education Week is 150 Years of Public Education, to coincide with this milestone anniversary for Victoria. Grant applications for Education Week have now closed, with both successful and unsuccessful applicants to be advised by Monday 4 April, 2022 of the status of their application.
Small grants of up to $2000 were made available to assist eligible not-for-profit organisations and non-commercial community organisations such as local government entities to host COVIDSafe activities during Education Week 2022.
A number of free Education Week activities will be made available in April 2022. Education Week 2022 offers a great opportunity for early childhood education and care services to showcase their part in Victoria’s education story. A toolkit to help services to do so will be available ahead of Education Week.
Services are encouraged to share their Education Week activities, events and stories for inclusion in the Education Week calendar of free activities, or promotion in the department’s communication channels.
Pitches should be sent via email to [email protected]
Services who have questions about Education Week or who need further support are encouraged to email [email protected]
