Provider sought for Woy Woy Leagues Club, soon to become ECEC facility
The new owners of the former Woy Woy Leagues Club have submitted a proposal to turn the building into an early childhood education and care (ECEC) facility to cater for growing demand in the region.
Managing agent Larry Altavilla of inStyle Real Estate told local publication Coast Community News that an approved provider is being sought for the building, with alterations to the space well underway.
He described demand for ECEC in the region as rising, pointing to a “baby boom” as a result of COVID-19 related lockdowns, and other services in the area which have “massive” waiting lists.
The owners, Mr Altavilla said, are “actively seeking a childcare provider,” with the Central Coast Council DA tracker showing a development application was lodged on October 19 for the property at 82-90 Blackwall Road, Woy Woy.
The application is for a nominated integrated commercial subdivision and the value of works listed as $20,000.
