A Dulwich Hill woman is due to face court next month after officers from the Leichhardt Police Area Command arrested her earlier this week following an investigation into the assault of a then four year old child while attending an early childhood education and care (ECEC) service.
Earlier this month the officers launched an investigation into reports that a child living with an undisclosed disability had been assaulted at an ECEC service in Glebe in 2017.
Police alleged that the then four year old boy had his wrists bound on two separate occasions by the accused in 2017.
Following her arrest the ECEC educator was taken to Newtown Police Station and charged with two counts of assault school student while attending a school.
The woman was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Friday 18 December 2020.
