Banyule Council issues notice of intention for kinder improvements
Acting under section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989 Banyule City Council have given notice of its proposal to enter into a lease with each of the entities below for the land and improvements located at these respective kindergartens:

Fairy Hills Kindergarten
Panorama Heights Preschool
Sherbourne Preschool

Wahroonga Preschool
Watsonia Preschool
Watsonia North Preschool
Winston Hills Preschool
Yandell Kindergarten
The proposed leases commenced on 1 May 2020, with a five year term. Rental is $427.34 to $680.42 annually, plus outgoings and GST, under a community lease, with a rent review fixed increase of 2 per cent per annum.
In accordance with section 223 of the Act, any person wishing to make a submission on the proposal must do so in writing no later than 5pm on Monday 20 July 2020. Submissions should be addressed to:

A person making a submission is entitled to request in the submission that they wish to be heard and appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, in support of the submission. If a person wishes to be heard in support of their submission, they must include this request to be heard in their written submission.
Submissions will be considered at the ordinary meeting of Council to be held at 7pm on Monday 17 August 2020 at 1 Flintoff Street, Greensborough. Council will consider the granting of the lease at a subsequent meeting. If no submissions are received, Council may at its meeting on Monday 17 August 2020, decide whether or not to grant the lease(s).
Any person making a written submission under section 223 of the Act is advised that all submissions and personal information in the submission will be handled by Council in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014. All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.
