Early childhood education and care (ECEC) service comparison website Toddle has joined forces with Australian Actor Gyton Grantley to launch a new COVID-19 animation for children titled “The Boogers are Coming.”

The animation, featuring Toddle’s fictional “Little Monsters”, is the second COVID-19 support resource for families and their children and follows on from Toddle’s release of a free e-book designed to help parents explain the do’s and don’ts for COVID-19 to their children.

Mr Grantley featured as the voice of the narrator in the latest animation which sees Toddle’s six Little Monster characters, each of which is modelled on a different children’s personality archetype, share about germs, how they spread and how to stay healthy in a way that children can relate to.

“I really enjoyed recording this animation. Having two young children, The Boogers Are Coming is a great way to explain the current climate to them. I jumped at the opportunity to put my dad hat on and help bring the characters to life,” said Grantley.

The animation seeks to build on the success of Toddle’s 26 page e-book released in April which introduces the six little monsters and the messages that they share from their own unique perspectives, whether it be Jampa, who is caring and friendly, or the wild and tenacious Morph or Dotty who is keen to share what she knows to her friends.

Arthur Charlaftis, Toddle Founder and CEO said that the pandemic has presented challenges to parents “that we could never have been prepared for” and that explaining the current situation to children can be difficult.

“Our aim with the e-book and animation is to alleviate any worries about COVID-19 in a fun and positive way and help parents communicate with their children in a language they understand” he added.

Commenting Toddle Founder and CEO, Arthur Charlaftis said, “The pandemic has presented challenges to parents that we could never have been prepared for and explaining the current climate to our children can prove difficult. Our aim with the e-book and animation is to alleviate any worries about COVID-19 in a fun and positive way and help parents communicate with their children in a language they understand.”

Toddle, launched in April 2020, is a new free comparison website that enables parents to search and discover early childhood education and care centres for their children on one central platform as well as interact and enquire with centres directly once their choices have been made.
