Last chance for NSW Educators to complete workforce survey closing tomorrow

The New South Wales Department of Education is seeking feedback from the early childhood workforce, in a survey which closes tomorrow.
All NSW-based early childhood education services should have received an email from Deloitte Access Economics, with a link to the Early Childhood Education Workforce Survey, which is only open for responses until tomorrow, 10 July.
A spokesperson for the Department said that previous surveys of this nature captured “invaluable insights, direct from educators” which contributed directly to the development of the Department’s Early Childhood Education Workforce Strategy 2018-2022.
The primary aim of the current survey is to inform future initiatives under the Workforce Strategy, specifically seeking feedback from early childhood educators to gain a deeper understanding of what attracts people to work in the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector, and to identify the factors impacting the likelihood of retention in their roles.
In addition, the Department is seeking to understand the ways educators engage with ongoing professional development, and to identify if there are any barriers to maximising their potential.
The responses to the survey are anonymously gathered, and all educators in a given service can participate by clicking on the link in the email provided from Deloitte, which was sent to all service types, covering preschools, long day care services, family day care and mobile preschools.
In the event that educators have not completed the survey, or received a copy of the email, they should contact their service leader, in the first instance, to access.
If there are any issues in accessing the survey, or questions about its completion, educators are invited to contact the Department’s Information and Enquiries line on 1800 619 113 or email [email protected]
