Preventing abuse through organisational culture change

National centre for action on child abuse has launched its abuse prevention through culture change framework, marking a significant milestone in the effort to prevent child sexual abuse through stronger organisational safeguarding practices.
The framework offers an accessible and practical resource for organisations to drive cultural change, address power dynamics, and embed long-term abuse prevention strategies.
The project is a collaboration between Kooyoora, Glasshouse Safeguarding, and the Institute of Child Protection Studies at Australian Catholic University.
“Ending child sexual abuse urgently requires frameworks like this, which disrupt the underlying power dynamics and factors which enable it to occur. That’s why we have funded such important research.”
– Andrea de Silva, PhD, Director, Knowledge Generation, Research and Evaluation, National Centre for Action on Child Sexual Abuse
