QCCS embraces Reboot Life program as exclusive Australian ECEC providers

Queensland Childcare Services (QCCS), an approved provider with 24 early childhood education centres across south-east Queensland, has the distinction of being the only early childhood providers of the innovative Reboot Program in Australia.
Created by Rebooting Life, the Reboot Program teaches a neuroscience-based ‘whole-brain’ framework to assist educators, parents and children in enhancing emotional wellbeing, promoting trauma-informed practices and creating thriving learning environments.
QCCS General Manager Laura Faalili said the program has become an integral part of the QCCS curriculum, one which is popular with children, parents and educators alike.
“The Reboot Program isn’t just a lesson for the children to take in, but a whole new way of thinking, learning and living for all our families and educators,” Ms Faalili said.
A recent post showing the Reboot Program in action at one QCCS centre recently went ‘viral’ on Instagram, resulting in over 1 million views and 58k likes.
“The welcome activity shown in our post is something that could be seen in any one of our centres on any given day,” Ms Faalili continued.
As well as supporting children to create a strong foundation of emotional intelligence during early childhood Ms Faalili said the Reboot Program also helped educators to better understand the complex emotions of the children in their care.
“As Reboot teaches children to clearly identify and express their feelings, it also helps educators and parents to understand how to bolster confidence, resilience and a strong emotional wellbeing in a way that supports positive development,” she explained.
“They say it takes a village to raise a child, and Reboot is helping our QCCS community as a whole to recognise where we can all learn and further promote emotional wellbeing and intelligence.”
QCCS has incorporated numerous unique initiatives in its day-to-day curriculum, all designed to contribute to a holistic approach to early childhood education, including Intergenerational Play, Barefoot Nurseries, Bush Kindy, Beach & Farm Kindy, Nutritional & Perceptual Motor Programs and Risky Play.
