Celebrating 30 years of Kidz Galore
Kidz Galore is a respected, local provider of early learning services, providing early childhood education and care for children aged 0-5. Established in 1995, Kidz Galore is owned by three families, with Director Sue Turner responsible for managing overall operations, and has done for 30 years. This year, Kidz Galore celebrated 30 years of providing exceeding education and care to Perth families. As a family business, Kidz Galore manages to maintain the personal touch, which is of utmost importance when caring and educating children.
As a young mother, Owner and Operator, Sue Turner, set out to find quality care for her two children so she could return to work, this was the catalyst that started Kidz Galore. Sue quickly discovered that this was no easy task, and from there emerged her dream to open an early learning service that would provide the quality education and care she had been searching for. In 1995, Kidz Galore opened its doors, and they are still open today!
From the very beginning, Sue’s ethos has been to ensure that every child in Kidz Galore care would feel a strong sense of belonging. As a family orientated early learning service, this has allowed children to flourish emotionally, socially, physically, and cognitively.

With Sue’s background in paediatric nursing, she brought with her invaluable knowledge of children’s development and care needs, as well as a commitment to providing the highest level of hygiene standards.
During the past 30 years, Sue has established deep and meaningful relationships with local metro councils and is committed to supporting local families. Kidz Galore has expanded since the opening of the North Perth centre and now operates 5 centres across Perth, two in North Perth, one in City West, one in Dalkeith and another in Crawley.

“Kidz Galore has been a staple in the local area since I was a child,” shared one North Perth parent. “It’s so rare to find a high-quality, independent, family-oriented organisation with excellent care standards and long-term staff retention. Our children have wonderful bonds with their carers and other children. It’s a real gem in the local area.”
Another parent praised the personalised approach: “From the owner Sue, right down to the last educator, they’ve been nothing short of supportive, caring and professional. For us, the beautiful natural outdoor areas, age-appropriate kindy program and ‘small centre’ feel set Kidz Galore apart.”
For many families, the choice to travel further to attend Kidz Galore is a testament to the centre’s reputation. “Even though our commute is cumbersome at times, it’s 100% worth it,” one parent said. “Kidz Galore gave me the confidence to return to full-time work, knowing my children were safe, happy and learning.”
Eve Kavanagh, another long-term parent, echoed these sentiments: “What truly sets Kidz Galore apart is the genuine care and passion shown by Sue Turner and her incredible team. They go above and beyond to make every child feel safe, supported and celebrated.”
The loyalty and passion of Kidz Galore’s team reflect a workplace culture built on respect and support. Cara, a diploma-qualified educator who has worked at Kidz Galore for 11 years, highlighted the value of strong relationships:
“It’s such a supportive and inspiring place to work. I love how child-led our programs are and how we meaningfully explore culture with children. It really sets us apart.”
I’ve been fortunate enough to work at Kidz Galore for 10 years. In that time, I’ve had my three children, including twins. What really sets Kidz Galore apart from the rest is the support I received when returning to work with all my children.
I’m very passionate about early childhood education, and to be able to continue and progress in my career with the support of Kidz Galore is not something new parents often find in this climate.
I’ve continued to grow and develop as an Early Childhood Teacher and Educational Leader, thanks to the ongoing support of Sue and the team.
I’m very proud of Kidz Galore’s achievements over the past 30 years and feel lucky to have been a part of 10 of those years. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved and grateful to have been part of this journey.”
As Kidz Galore celebrates 30 years, the messages from families and educators speak volumes about the organisation’s commitment to children, community and quality. With a legacy grounded in relationships and care, its story continues to unfold in the lives of every child, educator and family it supports.
