Tiny Souls Media launches in Australia, setting a new benchmark for early childhood wellbeing

A groundbreaking resource platform is transforming the way Australian early learning services approach children’s emotional development. Tiny Souls Media has officially launched nationwide, delivering an engaging, research-backed program designed to build skills that can contribute to emotional intelligence, well-being and safety, among other outcomes in children aged 2–5.
canopy Early Education is the first national provider to adopt the platform across all centres.
“At a time when children’s mental health and wellbeing are front of mind, Tiny Souls offers a complete framework to equip children with the emotional foundations they need to thrive,” said Lynne Dixon, Chief Operating Officer at canopy. “It supports our ongoing commitment to being a child-safe organisation while nurturing children’s social and emotional development in a way that is fun, relevant, and impactful.”
The platform integrates resources including, play-based activities, original songs, mindfulness practices to support self-regulation, and structured discussion prompts to extend learning into the home environment. Centred on key themes including perseverance, kindness, and courage, Tiny Souls Media complements the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to ensure seamless integration into existing educational programs.
“We’re incredibly proud to be the sector leader in bringing Tiny Souls to our centres,” said Peta Pitcher, CEO of canopy. “It’s part of a broader shift toward supporting the whole child, not just academically, but emotionally and socially as well.”
At the heart of the program is the Kidscreen award-winning animated series Zip and the Tiny Sprouts, created in Brisbane by a team with credits including Bluey. Designed as intentional screen time, each short episode is a springboard for meaningful conversations, interactive activities, and emotional learning, ensuring every viewing moment has a clear developmental purpose. The characters Zip, Hum, Aria, and Riff, each model different emotional strengths, making feelings relatable for young learners.
“This resource offers an engaging and emotionally rich approach to teaching essential life skills,” said Christine Curphey, Growth Partner at Tiny Souls. “We’re proud to support services and families with a consistent, playful model for fostering emotional learning.”
Sharyn Fewster, Head of Growth & Strategy added: “We are thrilled to announce the launch of Tiny Souls in Australia, and I’m so proud to be spearheading a company that places the emotional wellbeing of children at its core.”
