Little Scholars School of Early Learning is sparking curiosity and igniting young imaginations with the launch of its inaugural Science Fair on Wednesday 6 August, set to take place at the Ormeau Community Centre from 10am to 2pm.

The Science Fair will mark the first public unveiling of WonderNest VR, Little Scholars’ all-new, immersive virtual reality learning experience designed especially for children in early learning.

WonderNest uses child-safe VR headsets to take children on guided 8-minute “virtual field trips.” Children can “walk with dinosaurs,” “dive under the sea,” or “travel to space” through safe, short, guided VR experiences built specifically for young learners.

“WonderNest brings learning to life in a way that’s safe, age-appropriate and seriously exciting,” said Little Scholars Founder Jae Fraser. “It’s like a virtual field trip that brings the curriculum to life. We’re thrilled to offer families an early glimpse into this magical learning experience at our inaugural Science Fair before it officially launches.”

The event will be attended by the Honorable John-Paul Langbroek MP, Minister for Education and the Arts, Deputy Director General Tania Porter, and Member for Coomera Michael Crandon, recognising Little Scholars’ bold step into future-focused education.

Designed as a joyful, hands-on exploration of science and learning, the Science Fair brings together children, families, educators, and the broader community for a day of interactive STEM experiences.

Highlights include live science shows, fun games and challenges, hands-on experiment stations, and educational market stalls, all curated to spark “aha!” moments in even the youngest learners.

“Ninety percent of brain development happens before age five, and the Science Fair is proof we’re leading the way in early learning,” said Mr Fraser.

“The Science Fair is about fun, but more importantly, it’s about showing children that asking questions, experimenting and discovering is exciting. This isn’t about ticking boxes or gimmicks, it’s about truly investing in children’s development and building a future where education starts strong and stays strong.” Mr Fraser said.

Bringing together all 17 Little Scholars campuses from across South East Queensland, the Science Fair is open to families and the wider community, and all are encouraged to come along, get involved, and support a future generation of curious thinkers and problem solvers.
