Research from the Mitchell Institute highlights the critical link between early childhood education access and long-term outcomes for children.
Children as young as two are showing signs of educational disadvantage when they miss out on formal early learning.The study found that limited access to early learning services reduces attendance rates and increases developmental vulnerability particularly for children from disadvantaged or low income backgrounds.
Increased investment in early childhood education is being called on to address these gaps and ensure all children can benefit from high quality early learning during the formative years.
