ECEC provider Busy Bees Early Learning (Busy Bees) has confirmed the acquisition of Brisbane based registered training organisation (RTO) Australian Child Care Career Options (ACCCO) as it commits to vocational training as an important investment focus amidst an escalating workforce crisis.

“Busy Bees has always had a strong commitment to ensuring that our teams receive the best training and support on offer,” Robert Hughes, Chief Executive Officer said.

“We recognise that their journey through the qualification and certification process is a key aspect to ensuring quality and professionalism, with the RTO ecosystem playing a very important role in this area.”

“That’s why we have made this groundbreaking investment in one of the ECEC sector’s leading vocational training providers. By supporting more fully ACCCO’s ability to deliver high-quality candidates to the ECEC sector everybody is better off; educators, children, provider and the sector at large.”

ACCCO, founded in 1996, is a leading provider of vocational training services to the ECEC sector offering a range of courses including Certificate III and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care as well as Certificate IV and Diploma in School Age Education and Care.

In addition, it offers education support training for students interested in teacher aide roles in schools, first aid training specific to working in education, professional education and school based training programs for high school students wanting to study Certificate level education qualifications whilst still at school.

Through the acquisition Busy Bees has committed to invest with a focus on raising the bar for quality training outcomes by leveraging the Busy Bees global experience in the early learning, educational and care training sectors including from its award-winning UK and Singapore-based training organisations.

“ACCCO will continue to operate as an independent entity serving its broad suite of customers and students whilst maintaining all roles,” Kerri Lawrence, Chief Commercial Officer explained.

“For all ACCCO customers, stakeholders and staff, it is business as usual with no expected change to the high level of service ACCCO delivers.”
