ECEC focused RTOs reminded to submit annual declaration of compliance by month end
Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) operating in the early childhood education and care (ECEC) training space as well as other sectors and industries have been reminded to submit their annual declaration of compliance on or before 31 March 2022.
The Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 (the Standards) require all ASQA-regulated RTOs to submit an annual declaration on compliance which is an important tool for both providers and for the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA.)
For RTOs, the annual declaration is an opportunity to undertake a self-assessment to support self-assurance and continuous improvement, and to make sure that all information ASQA holds about their operations is correct.
For ASQA, the annual declaration helps to identify emerging systemic issues in the VET sector.
To complete the declaration, RTOs will need to assess their compliance with the Standards. In most cases, if providers have been self assuring their practices, systems, processes during the year it takes between 15 and 30 minutes to complete.
Chief Executive Officers have been sent an email that contains a unique URL to their online declaration. Annual declaration submissions close on 31 March 2022.
