Reading is My Secret Power; celebrate CBCA Book Week 2019
Each year the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) brings children and books together to celebrate CBCA Book Week. During this time early childhood education and care (ECEC) settings, schools, libraries, booksellers, authors, illustrators and children celebrate Australian children’s literature.
Many ECEC services and education settings will organise children’s book character parades and create displays. The CBCA Book of the Year Awards are announced each year on the third Friday in August. CBCA Book Week commences the following day. For 2019, Book Week will run from 17-23 August.

Educators are asked by CBCA to “please use the hashtag #CBCA2019 when sharing your events, displays and activities via social media and remember to add those fabulous photos highlighting the special celebrations you attend or organise”.
