The Atlantis Group appoints respected sector leader, Todd Dawson, as Chief Executive Officer
The Atlantis Group, the Western Australian Early Learning provider behind Atlantis Early Learning and Outside School Hours Care along with Tall Tree Early Learning and Tall Tree Outside School Hours Care, has announced the appointment of Todd Dawson as its new Chief Executive Officer, commencing in March 2026.
The appointment marks a significant milestone for the family-owned and operated organisation, which has grown from just three services a decade ago to a network of 20 services and more than 450 team members across Early Learning and OSHC.
Mr Dawson brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience to the CEO role, having led operational networks across 53 services, supporting more than 5,300 children, 4,500 families and 1,400 educators and recently performed the National Chief Safety Officer role at Goodstart Early Learning. He has been widely recognised for his ability to embed safety, quality and wellbeing into organisational culture and for his strong advocacy in improving outcomes for both children and educators.
Mr Dawson said he was drawn to The Atlantis Group by its alignment with his values and its deep commitment to high-quality early learning.
“The early years of a child’s life shape their future and organisations that place safety, wellbeing and high-quality early learning and OSHC at the centre of everything they do are the ones that make the biggest difference,” Mr Dawson said.
“What stood out to me about The Atlantis Group is their unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional early learning and care and the strong values foundation that guides their culture.”
Mr Dawson said he was energised by the opportunities ahead for the sector and for The Atlantis Group. “I’m looking forward to working with the talented Atlantis and Tall Tree teams to build on the strong foundations already in place and help the organisation continue to thrive.” Mr Dawson said.
Managing Director of The Atlantis Group, Rory Hindle, said the appointment followed a long-term strategic vision for the organisation’s leadership.
“We are entering a pivotal period in our organisation’s growth and after 30 years of operating Early Learning and OSHC services, the time is right to bring in a leader who can help us accelerate in our next chapter,” Mr Hindle said.
“Todd’s experience, coupled with his deep care for people, will support us from where we are today and propel us forward as a market leader in early childhood education and care. The next five years present an enormous opportunity to elevate outcomes for children as we continue to champion quality, safety, innovation and invest in the capability of our educators,” he said.
“Todd has a proven track record of lifting quality, strengthening safety and bringing teams together to achieve positive, lasting outcomes. His values are deeply aligned with ours, and we’re confident he will guide us into this next chapter while preserving the heart of our family-owned organisation. We are incredibly excited for the future and for where Todd will lead us.” Mr Hindle said.
