Geccko security upgrade: Individual accounts now required for all users
To support accurate training records and improve data security, all users of the Australian Government’s Geccko online learning platform for early childhood education and care (ECEC) must now use individual accounts.
Geccko, “Get Early Childhood Compliance Knowledge Online” is the national online learning platform for early childhood education and care professionals. As part of ongoing improvements to privacy and data accuracy, all Geccko users are now required to have an individual account.
From November 2025, shared or group accounts are no longer permitted. This change ensures that:
- Training completion records are accurately tracked and attributed
- Professional learning hours can be reported correctly
- User access is secured to protect personal information and data
Action required
All existing registered users should have been contacted with instructions. Users should check their email or log in to their Geccko account to confirm their details:
If you do not yet have a Geccko account, you can register online using an individual email address that only you can access:
By creating an individual Geccko account, educators and approved providers can continue to access up-to-date, nationally relevant compliance training aligned with sector requirements.
For support with your Geccko account or registration, refer to the platform’s help resources or contact the Geccko support team via [email protected]
