A new course released through the Geccko learning platform is helping early childhood education and care (ECEC) providers understand and meet their compliance responsibilities under Family Assistance Law (FAL).

The Compliance and Enforcement course offers a practical overview of the legislative requirements for continued approval, and outlines the Australian Government’s approach to compliance within the ECEC sector.

Designed for ease of access, the 30-minute course can be completed on a tablet, laptop or mobile phone, and is suitable for approved providers, centre managers and educators who want to strengthen their understanding of their legal obligations under FAL.

The course will help participants:

  • explain the importance of compliance
  • identify the conditions for continued approval under FAL
  • understand the government’s approach to compliance
  • recognise the consequences of failing to meet obligations

Participants can download a certificate of completion and gain access to additional resources including videos and tip sheets to support ongoing learning and practice improvement.

To get started, find out more and register for Geccko to access the course.
