CCC Executive Director Julie Price announces resignation after transformative decade

Julie Price, long-serving Executive Director of the Community Child Care Association (CCC), will step down from her role in July after more than a decade of leadership that has shaped the organisation’s identity and influence in the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector.

Appointed as Executive Director in 2018, Ms Price leaves behind a legacy defined by visionary leadership, sector-wide impact and a steadfast commitment to inclusive, high-quality education and care.

Under her guidance, CCC saw a 60 per cent growth in membership and significantly expanded its professional development, consultation and advocacy reach across Victoria and beyond.

Among her many contributions, Ms Price led the successful 2016 tender to deliver the Victorian Inclusion Agency (VIA) program, helping establish a system that continues to support the inclusion of thousands of children in early learning environments.

Reflecting on her time with CCC, she said she felt “eternally grateful for the collaboration and synergy” the role had brought. “I am really proud of what we have been able to accomplish together,” said Ms Price.

Key initiatives during her tenure include the development of CCC’s Theory of Change and Advocacy Roadmap, and most recently playing a key role in the national advocacy efforts that contributed to the 15 per cent pay rise for early childhood educators and teachers across Australia.

CCC Chair Linda Davison praised Ms Price’s “unwavering dedication” and noted her contributions as pivotal to the organisation’s success. “We are very proud of the outcomes we have achieved alongside her,” Ms Davison said.

Ms Price will return to her home state of Queensland, stepping back from full-time work but not into retirement. Her final day will be Friday 11 July 2025.

CCC has confirmed that a recruitment process to appoint a new CEO is underway, with an announcement expected in the coming weeks.
