Nido Education appoints PwC partner Adam Lai as new Chief Executive Officer

ASX listed Nido Education has confirmed the appointment of Adam Lai as the Group’s new Chief Executive Officer marking the end of a six month search triggered by the resignation of Renee Bowman in July of last year.
Mr Lai will succeed Nido Founder and Managing Director Matthew Edwards who had assumed the position of interim CEO and who will now step back to his earlier role of Managing Director once Mr Lai commences his new position on 10 February 2025.
“We are delighted to attract someone of Adam’s calibre at a time when the Company intends to grow significantly over the next five to eight years,” Company Chair Mark Kerr said.
“Adam brings the skills and experience needed to lead an organisation through the opportunities and complexities that come with significant growth. His appointment reflects our optimism for our business and the organisation we intend to become.”

Mr Lai will be joining Nido from audit and consulting firm PwC Australia, where he spent over 18 years in multiple leadership roles including most recently as Managing Partner, Sydney, a position he held for a year.
Mr Lai became a partner in 2012 and has also led PwC’s global customer transformation solutions practice where he developed expertise in helping companies grow by redesigning their processes and technology to focus upon customers across a range of sectors including Healthcare, Financial Services, Professional Services, Transport and Emergency Services.
