Best Start, Best Life Evening Leadership Series: Realising the benefits
The next in Victoria’s Best Start, Best Life Evening Leadership Series is on Thursday 28 November from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm (ACDT), both online and in person, in Ararat.
The Victorian Government has recognised the significance of learning and development in this stage of life, investing in the Best Start, Best Life reforms in what will be the greatest transformation of early childhood education in a generation.
From 2025, the next stage in these ambitious reforms will see Four-Year-Old Kindergarten transition to Pre-Prep, with programs across Victoria transitioning from 15 to 30 hours each week. Regional Victorian children in 6 local government areas will be the first to benefit, before gradually rolling out across the state.
To support early childhood sector leaders to prepare for Pre-Prep, in a way that supports and motivates their highly skilled workforce and provides the best outcomes for children and communities, the Victorian Department of Education will host the next of its Best Start, Best Life Evening Leadership Series on 28 November from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm (ACDT), both online and in person, in Ararat.
During the event participants will hear from sector leaders, who will offer practical support for navigating change, approaches for building a shared understanding with staff and strategies for engaging with families about the reforms.
Open to any leader in the early childhood education and care sector across Victoria, organisers welcome attendance from approved providers, service managers and administrators, peak bodies, Early Years Managers and committees of management.
