What is the history of NQ Family Day Care? 

NQ Family Day Care was granted service approval in 2010, and was last assessed and rated in 2018, receiving a rating of Meeting the National Quality Standard.

NQ Family Day Care is committed to providing every child with an early learning experience that protects and promotes their wellbeing. At the heart of this is a commitment to building inclusive, trusting and respectful relationships which offer the foundation to children to explore, investigate and maximise their learning potential. 

The provider is a strong advocate for play based approaches to learning, recognising each child’s natural curiosities and motivations as instrumental drivers to decision making and being intentional in our planned experiences.

NQ Family Day Care offers a number of specialised programs including Bush Kindy, Music and Play Sessions, Sustainability and a deep commitment to Reconciliation.

What is the NQ Family Day Care approach to educators’ identity and development?

NQ Family Day Care provides specialised training to its educators to help ‘kick start’ their business including: 

• One-on-one sessions
• Educator-led training sessions
• Networking opportunities
• Professional workshops
• Regular home visits
• Membership to professional organisations
• Support to complete a Certificate III in Children’s Services and any other formal qualifications

The provider also provides resources and equipment including: cots, prams, cars seats, sleeping stretchers, high chairs, baby equipment, outdoors equipment, tables, chairs, toys, books, dolls and other elements, as well as a vehicle which educators can access for pick ups, drop offs, play sessions and networking.
