2024 Excellence in Family Day Care Awards: Nominations now open

Nominations for the 2024 Family Day Care Australia (FDCA) Excellence in Family Day Care Awards are now officially open.
The Awards are Australia’s only awards program focused solely on family day care (FDC), shining a light on outstanding achievement across FDC services, coordinators and educators, along with the many and unique benefits of the ‘nurturing, natural approach’ to early childhood education and care.
Now in their thirteenth year, the FDCA Excellence in Family Day Care Awards highlight the unique benefits of the small group settings, personalised educational programming and flexible hours of care that make family day care the option of choice for more than 75,000 Australian children.
“Family Day Care plays a critical role in the lives of children, families and communities across Australia and these awards celebrate the dedication, professionalism and care that our members demonstrate every day,” FDCA CEO Andrew Paterson said.
Making up one of the largest networks of women in small business in Australia, family day care educators operate from their own homes to provide personalised early education and care for small groups of children in a natural home environment.
“The flexibility and agility of family day care and its unique approach to early learning, makes it an essential part of the education and care landscape,” Mr. Paterson said.
“Our members have turned their passion for working with children and early education into thriving businesses and provide essential support to communities across the country, shaping young lives and supporting families into work.”
Nominations for the 2024 Excellence in Family Day Care Awards close 4 July 2024.
