Timboon Children’s Centre will be operated by Ready, Set, Go from the end of June (anticipated) under a new agreement with Victoria’s Corangamite Shire Council.
Ready, Set, Go, which operates a centre in Mortlake, will take over from current operator Kardinia Early Learning following efforts by the Council to secure a provider through an Expressions of Interest process to minimise disruption to families and staff.
“We are thrilled that Ready, Set, Go has come on board,” Mayor Kate Makin said.
Kardinia Early Learning and Ready, Set, Go will now work towards the end-of-June handover with a Parent Information Session next Friday 24 May at 6:30 pm,” she explained.
Zeke Pottage, Ready,Set,Go’s owner, said Timboon Children’s Centre “would fit really nicely” with the company’s mission of providing quality care independent of postcode.
Mr Pottage moved from his background in school based education to the early childhood space after encountering challenges with finding early childhood options in the community.
“We are hoping to continue this mission in Timboon and it’s an exciting opportunity for the two centres to work together from a resourcing perspective,” he said.
