New ECEC eLearning packages available in NSW
Six self paced eLearning courses have been jointly developed by the Office of the Children’s Guardian and the New South Wales Department of Education, the regulatory authority for the sector in NSW.
They have been designed for three early childhood education and care (ECEC) settings:
- Centre-based services
- Family day care
- Outside school hours care
The courses align with the updated National Quality Framework and are the first child safety eLearning courses tailored to support educators and providers to meet their requirements under the Child Safe Scheme.
The courses will each have six self-paced modules, with new modules to be released in the coming months.
Now available, the first module, ‘A Child Safe Service’, provides an overview of the Child Safe Standards and what the Standards look like in the context of each type of service.
The eLearning courses have been designed to empower services to deliver best practice in child safety in all aspects of their operations to keep children safe from harm.
