Outside school hours care (OSHC) provider Camp Australia has “shaken off the hangover” of the COVID-19 pandemic and associated restrictions to return to growth, CEO Warren Jacobson has said.

Speaking with The Sector, Mr Jacobson attributed the growth to increased customer satisfaction, growing partner confidence and new service offerings, and to the provider’s focus over the past five years on a strategy of continuous improvement.

“With the support of a refreshed Board since the start of the year, the Camp Australia team is ready for our next chapter of growth accelerating our strategic focus on industry leadership in customer and employee experience, as well as our product excellence,” he said.

The company’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) for parents and principals has increased by 20 per cent and 69 per cent respectively since the start of the pandemic, he continued, also noting a significant improvement in Camp Australia’s quality ratings, with 93 per cent of services now meeting or exceeding the National Quality Framework.

A number of new initiatives such as the CA WAY digital programming tool have enhanced consistency and efficiency across Camp Australia’s 500 services. Exclusive campaigns and events such as the National Handball Championships which saw 29,000 children participate from across the country have further supported the visibility of the provider in the broader community.

More recently, Camp Australia has forged exclusive partnerships with local sporting clubs, including the Western Sydney Wanderers and the Sydney Kings, offering children the opportunity to meet professional players and learn sports through active play.

Camp Australia welcomed 41 new schools in 2023, as well as adding nine new OSHC services recently acquired from KidsCo.
