The Mt Atkinson Kindergarten will offer free kindergarten programs for three- and four-year-old children, adding over 300 early learning places to the local community.
Located in the heart of the new development, as part of the Mt Atkinson Children's and Community Centre, the service is located across from shops, close to a new Westfield development, and next door to a planned recreation reserve and primary school.
It is hoped by developers that children will be able to build friendships and develop strong social connections that carry through their early years to primary school.
The kindergarten design features airy, modern rooms with big windows and visibility between rooms, and will allow children to move seamlessly between indoor and outdoor areas where the shady landscaped area has loads of space, plants, and natural features for them to explore and experience.
The program will be resourced with items and opportunities that encourage curiosity, collaboration with friends and hands on play.
