Not-for-profit ECEC provider Sparkways appoints Daniel Findley as new CEO

Daniel Findley will hold the position of early childhood education and care (ECEC) provider Sparkways CEO effective December 2022, replacing current CEO Angela Forbes.
The appointment was announced by Sparkways Board Chair James Meares, who thanked Ms Forbes, who has been the CEO since 2019, for her contribution to the not-for-profit provider.
“Angela has been a strong role model exhibiting exemplary professionalism as a leader,” Mr Meares said.
“Her openness, frankness, and approachability have made for an excellent working relationship with the Board.”
Mr Findley was selected for the role during a competitive recruitment process and brings valuable and impactful experience in leading organisations, most recently as the CEO of West Arnhem Regional Council (WARC), a position he took up in January 2020.
With an extensive history of working with not-for-profit and community-based organisations, Mr Findley understands the importance of delivering high quality services to diverse communities.
For more than 25 years, he has been serving communities, leading organisations and delivering programs for diverse populations, including the ageing, at-risk youth, employment services and people with disabilities.
Prior to his position with WARC, Mr Findley served as CEO at Masonic Care Tasmania where he was instrumental in merging multiple organisations to strengthen governance and front-line programs while delivering high-quality aged and health care services.
“We look forward to working with Mr Findley to continue to deliver high quality mentoring and early years and care programs and services to Melbourne’s children and young people,” Mr Meares added.
