C&K appoints Paula Holden to newly created Chief People Officer role
Early childhood education and care (ECEC) provider C&K has welcomed Paula Holden to the new role of Chief People Officer, where she will lead the People and Culture portfolio as part of C&K’s Executive Management Group.
Ms Holden was selected from an impressive group of candidates, and her core responsibilities will be to optimise C&K’s people-centered activities such as hiring, professional development, and performance management to ensure these efforts support the organisation’s growth, CEO Dr Sandra Cheeseman explained.
She has extensive experience in people management, most recently holding Chairperson and Non Executive Director roles with Yourturn Youth Support, as well as being a Non Executive Director and Nominations and Remuneration Committee Chair with Orange Sky Australia and Executive General Manager People and Culture with Endeavour Foundation.
“At a time of heightened job-seeker expectations and fierce competition for skilled workers, being able to deliver a coordinated, connected, and positive experience for our candidates and employees has taken on new importance for C&K,” Dr Cheeseman continued.
“Our people play such a critical role in the lives of children: inspiring a life-long love of learning and supporting the development of the social and emotional skills needed to allow every child to flourish in an ever-changing world, so we are thrilled to have Paula on board to help us build and retain exceptional, engaged people with leadership capabilities, and a well-defined C&K culture that sets the scene for success and allows us to truly bring our C&K values to life.”
Ms Holden said she is excited to be a part of the team at C&K and is looking forward to supporting the Executive to create a place where every child has the opportunity to flourish.
