MercyCare extends reach to Perth’s south eastern suburbs with Piara Waters centre
Early childhood education and care (ECEC) provider MercyCare will extend its reach to Perth’s south-eastern suburbs with the construction of a service in Piara Waters.
To be constructed on the corner of Wright Road and Tuberose Road, the purpose-built centre will accommodate 96 children.
MercyCare CEO Anthony Smith said the build was an exciting opportunity, and would be modelled on the Banksia Grove Early Learning Centre which was built in 2019, and would have a “contemporary aesthetic with a homely feel”.
Nature playgrounds will also feature in the space, with MercyCare Executive Director of Early Learning Services Rosina Smith saying it was rewarding to see the $1.5 million project come to fruition after months of talks and planning.
Piara Waters is located about 27km south of the CBD and was recently reported as the third fastest growing suburb in Perth according to the 2021 Census.
Construction of the centre is set to be completed by August 2023, with the centre expected to open in September 2023.
