Only About Children campuses celebrate Friendship Day, launching Buddy Program

Children and educators from across the Only About Children network in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane will celebrate Friendship Day today, with activities focused on building relationships, boosting kindness, and creating a sense of inclusion and belonging.
The provider, in conjunction with Bright Horizons UK will also launch a new “Buddy Program” which aims to build international friendships after the events of the past two years have made the world feel a little more inaccessible than it once was.
Across the 77 Only About Children campuses, educators and children will participate in various on-campus events and activities such as making friendship bands; singing friendship songs; hosting a morning tea to celebrate Friendship Day; dressing up in costumes from their home countries; creating “Circle of Friends” handprint art murals; creating drawings and letters to add to their Friendship trees.
Several Only About Children campuses will also be drawing pictures and writing letters to their friends in Bright Horizons early learning centres in the UK as part of Only About Children’s new “Buddy Program”.
“We are very excited to launch our new international “Buddy Program” in celebration of Friendship Day and look forward to being part of the new Bright Horizons family,” Kathryn Hutchins, Chief People, Quality & Education Officer for Only About Children said.
