CatholicCare launches first ECEC service in Shellharbour NSW
CatholicCare, a social services agency of the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong, has launched its first early learning centre in Shellharbour, New South Wales, located on the ground of All Saints Catholic Parish Shellharbour City.
The service was recently opened and blessed by Bishop Brian Mascord and CatholicCare Director Michael Austin, but has been in operation for two months.
One of the core roles of the service since its inception has been to support families who have recently migrated to Australia, supporting them to settle into life in Australia and navigate the complexities of the early childhood education and care (ECEC) system.
“Our aspiration is to create more Early Childhood Education and Care Centres across the Diocese, and continue this journey of delivering the highest quality programs based on the latest evidenced-based research, with always the child and family at the centre”, Mr Austin explained.
