St Nicholas introduces home learning portal in response to COVID-19 challenges
Early childhood education and care (ECEC) provider St Nicholas Early Education has introduced a Home Learning Portal, an online resource designed to support families to remain connected to their services and continue their child’s early learning journey despite the ongoing challenges presented by COVID-19.
The Home Learning Portal consists of downloadable learning packs, virtual learning experiences, and interactive Zoom events, with families feeding back that the portal has supported them to balance working from home while caring for their children.
Each Zoom event is based on one of the many popular activities that children love to engage with across St Nicholas’ services, with a variety of topics to cater to a broad range of ages and interests. These topics include science experiments, cooking demonstrations, yoga classes, group times, sensory play, and more.
The on-demand virtual learning experiences can be accessed by families at any time and cover a broad range of ages and interests to support children’s learning at all hours of the day.
Each Zoom session and virtual learning experience is designed and led by professional and dedicated early education professionals, with the Portal available to all families who are enrolled with St Nicholas at no additional cost.
Families who are currently enrolled with St Nicholas can access the Home Learning Portal using the link and password provided by their Centre Director.
