G8 Education focuses on quality and staff retention to drive occupancy
In a presentation delivered in Queensland today, G8 CEO Gary Carroll outlined the future direction for G8 Education in an update on strategy. With a focus on training and development, the presentation outlined a direction of quality and sustainable business growth, which G8 hopes will in-turn bring increased occupancy.
Mr Carroll’s presentation detailed that the company would continue to invest in service quality and team member development as they seek to embed a values and performance-based culture. A 3 per cent reduction in centre manager staff turnover, comparative to the previous year, confirms positive progress is being made in this important area.
Quality is a central theme of the strategic road map with the importance of focusing on quality recognised throughout the presentation. G8 continues to work towards becoming the childcare provider of choice for Australian families.
G8 confirmed that they are now in phase 2 of their NQF training program and that the 2018 NQS audit results are in-line with expectations.
A strategic initiative in relation to quality, compliance, and centre refurbishment was highlighted, with mention made of the 170 refurbishment activities undertaken in 2018, and upcoming plans to improve quality through training programs, curriculum standardisation, and refurbishment activities.
Mr Carroll said that innovative pilots, such as a reading program, a pilot involving allied health providers, and work which explores the pre-school learning environment are also currently underway.
