Practical Application of Attachment Theory in early childhood education and care settings
Presented by Dr Robyn Dolby, in this two-part webinar, attachment theory is used to explore the emotional environment that educators can provide for children.Webinar 1 asks: How can educators provide children with the four S’s: the sense of feeling safe, seen and soothed all of which help children to feel secure (Siegel and Payne Bryson 2020)? In Webinar 2, educators learn secure-base games to promote security; and they use attachment thinking to plan relational support for children who struggle to participate in the childcare setting (eg may be clingy, isolated, or controlling with peers).Date: Thursday, 1 October 2020
Time: 1.15 - 2.00 PM AEST
