Part 1 – Practical Application of Attachment Theory in early childhood education and care settings
Practical Application of Attachment Theory in early childhood education and care settings
Presented by Dr Robyn Dolby, in this two-part webinar, attachment theory is used to explore the emotional environment that educators can provide for children.
Webinar 1 asks: How can educators provide children with the four S’s: the sense of feeling safe, seen and soothed all of which help children to feel secure (Siegel and Payne Bryson 2020)?
In Webinar 2, educators learn secure-base games to promote security; and they use attachment thinking to plan relational support for children who struggle to participate in the childcare setting (eg may be clingy, isolated, or controlling with peers).
