Understanding the many hours of a child’s first five years of life left in the care of educators, ‘An Educators Handbook’ has been created from collective knowledge and experience of ten years as an educator, to provide educators with a roadmap of the many facets of their role.

The book has been tagged a ‘pocket mentor’ by a director of three Early Education and Care centres. ‘An Educators Handbook’ is for every level of educator. It is an essential resource for all childcare centres, pre-schools, family day cares and OOSH services. Reading this book will relieve trainees study stress with its simple explanations.

Educators who have been in the sector for a while will also gain from the on the job experiences and practical approaches to programming activities. Educational Leaders will find the list of QR code links to resources helpful when supporting fellow colleagues.

Directors can have this ‘pocket mentor’ on hand in their centres library for any new staff, and work experience students to help them navigate their daily tasks and interactions with the children.
It is a beautiful publication simply written for easy understanding. Filled with graphics for visual learners and over 70 quick QR code website links for further reading and recommended courses from respected businesses such as ACECQA, Phoenix Cups, Twinkl, Sue Larkey, Circle of Security, Hanen Care, Harvard University, ASCIA, Simply Psychology and many who more approved their addition to this handbook.

The motivation behind the book was to advocate for the children. Children in care services rely on Educators professional approach to keep them safe both physically and mentally while supporting their learning journey. Every educators kindness and care is imperative to every child’s well-being to give them the emotional foundations to thrive in life.

While educators are caring for children it is equally important for them to take care of their own well-being and nurture their own interests. Part two of the book is dedicated to Educators wellbeing by including information on Cognitive Behaviour, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Mindfulness practices.

Amazon is retailing the book for over $80. However the book is available through my website for $49 plus delivery – www.janciemorris.com.au

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this new educators resource being launched in July.
